PeeK: Make Up Academy Haul

Sometime in January I was tempted to try the online promo of the  UK make-up brand MUA or Make Up Academy. I first knew this brand through the liquid eyeliner I got from Highstreetlady, which I really liked. Who would not dare give in with their 50% off on all items and free shipping? Waiting for 48 days for the items to arrive is still worth it!

So far I am loving the Pro-Brow Ultimate Brow Kit, glamour days eyeshadow palette and highlighting pen. Hopefully will have more time to talk about all the products once I test them out. To check out their products visit MUA Store

Rediscovering Berocca

I'm not a fan of taking daily vitamin supplements but rediscovering Berocca has somehow helped in    keeping me up during stressful times.

Rediscovered - in a way, since I've been familiar with the brand before and have seen my parents tried it when I was still younger. Saw it on a drugstore shelf one day and decided to give it a try.

It is an effervescent tablet, just add it into water and you'll not only have a refreshing orange flavored drink but you also get the important vitamins and minerals

It's more likely recommended to add it into cold water, which I also personally prefer. For me, its an enjoyable way to take vitamins rather than drinking the capsules or tablets which I'm not very compliant with.  It is available in all major drugstores I believe. Just read the label first and ask your doctor or pharmacist for any clarifications you want to know before taking this supplement.

Human Nature Goodies with Quick Reviews

Well isn't it exciting to receive a package, mail or something? So I ordered online instead of visiting the Cebu branch of Human <3 Nature.

Moisturizing Day Fluid, Moisturizing Night Cream, Balancing Toner, and Natural Hair Mask

This Night Cream is really good. I love how lightweight it is and smells just right, not too overwhelming, plus its natural!

Sadly this Day Fluid I only have to use when I just stay at home. I have oily combination skin and putting this on prior to BB cream just makes my skin appear worse. I love the smell, consistency is good and its boasts with many vitamins and minerals good for the skin.

This balancing toner is just perfect for my oily skin. It refreshes the face like no other and the orange scent is just so energizing. I love it!

This is a wonderful natural treat for the hair. You can never go wrong with Aloe vera for your beloved crowning glory. The jasmine scent is so heavenly but others may find it too powerful, it can stay on the hair for hours. I had no issues about it though, my hair is smelling fragrant anyways.

Visit the Human Heart Nature website to view more interesting and natural Filipino-made products.

I'm not going to promise but I'm really looking forward to finally post other product reviews that I would like to share. It was hard keeping up last year but it's never too late to continue what I've started.

Take Care!

Dove Hair Care

If it weren't because of the massive promotions and sample distribution during the launch of the Dove Hair Care products this year, I wouldn't be able to try and eventually buy full sized bottles of the products. I usually just stick to my usual hair care products.

Trying something new would mean a risk in having dandruff.  I've experimented through the years and it helped me to stay away from the brands that would cause irritation and eventually dandruff.

I was so amazed on how unbelievably soft my hair was when I used the samples. I had a few that lasted me for a couple of days. I had to go back to my usual products at that time and it took me a week or so to finally get the full sized bottles.

BUT, honestly it was a disappointment. The softness and smoothness is not comparable to  the samples I tried especially with the conditioner. It's not really bad since I didn't have any irritation in the long run but I can really tell the difference.
This is just based on my own experience and observation. Though Dove is a great brand, I'd still use their shampoo but I had to go back to my usual conditioner brand.

Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Body Cream

This may not be very new but I love the recent sweet pea product line design that the Bath and Works are sporting. I remember Bath and Body Work's Sweet Pea Cologne as the first BBW I had that a friend gave me. This time is another gift, BBW Triple Moisture Body Cream in Sweet Pea. Adoring the  vibrant color of the packaging.

This triple moisture cream comes in thick formula.

It certainly boosts the skin with extreme moisture without the sticky and heavy feel.

There's one more! Anti-bacterial hand soap has never been this moisturizing, sweet-smelling and nice-looking!

Dark Chocolate Madness

I started to love dark chocolates since learning they are still very comforting sans the sweetness, they won't trigger an old enemy - tonsilitis, and less the extra calories found in regular milk chocolates. One of my favorite treats is finding in the local supermarket new dark chocolates to try. And here are my recent finds.

Villar's Dark Chocolate with hazelnut from Switzerland

Villar's Dark Chocolate with coffee crisps. Chocolate and coffee lovers will love this!

Tudor Gold Dark Chocolate Almonds

Kitkat's Dark Chocolate coated wafer

Villar's and Tudor come in many other different variants, Last time they are available at Metro Supermarket Ayala Center and SM City.

The not-so-Good: Doesn't glide easily on the lips, not long lasting

Over-all rating: 4/5

I have long been looking for a natural based lip balm and it is only recently that I tried HHN. I don't know, I wasn't paying attention with the blogosphere raving about the brand for quite some time already. In general, I'm very happy with this purchase. I like the tint shade, natural-looking and evens out my lips uneven color. Although the moisture retention doesn't last that long, I'd still consider this an everyday must have, and a healthy one at that.
